The chairman of Belek Tourism Investors Union, Mr. Cemil Ugurlu said that they are planning to build 6 more new golf courses and all will be ready for the next season. With the new golf courses, the number will reach to 12 golf courses in Antalya. Belek, which currently has 6 golf courses, experienced busy days from March to May and hosted 60 thousand golfers last year, is targeting to increase this number to 80 thousand. General Manager of Antalya Golf Club Mr. Ugur Budak said “Last year, 230 thousand games played and that means 60 thousand golfers. This year we are expecting 80 thousand golfers to come to the region. We are expecting more than 275 thousand games to be played this year”.
