Olympos Beach

Every year a large number of tourists come to our country for beach tourism and Antalya is one of the most visited cities in Turkey for this reason.

The length of Antalya shore is 640km. Antalya Beaches are waiting for you !!!

Olympos Beach
You don’t need a deep historical knowledge or a guide while visiting Olympos. However knowing little about the ruins would make it come to life and fascinate you more.

During Lycia period Olympos used to be a port city belonging to the Lycia Federation. It was such a rich city that it had three representatives in the federation whereas the other cities had only one.

At this time it was being attacked by the pirates. The city was saved by the Roman commander Isauricus. The Genoeses and the Venetians were helping the city by trading through this port.

After the 17th century Olympos has become a peaceful environment for visitors. Although it has a deep historical past, that is not the only reason of the tourists who stay in Olympos. They are also attracted by the clear water of the Mediterranean in Olympos Beach. While sailing it is so clear that the the pebbles underneath the water seem very close to the surface whereas they are actually in 7-8 meters deep.

There’s a river streaming down through the Lycian ruins where you may swim to get rid of the salt of the sea.

You’ll see a tomb while swimming which is the tomb of the Captain Eudomos. There’s a glyph of a ship and a writing on the tomb in the memory of him. The path going through the pines reaches the Roman Temple.

Alanya Portakal (Orange) Beach
Alanya Beach is located in the east of the city centre. The shore has 1km length. It has a blue flag. It starts from where Oba Stream meets the sea and ends in where Dim Stream meets the sea. It is a wide beach reachin 100 metre width at some points. It is a sandy beach. Entry is free. It is possible to take advantage of some beach clubs and hotels beach services with fee.

Alanya Damlatas Beach
Damlatas Beach is located in the west of the ancient peninsula, just in front of Damlatas Cave. It has a blue flag. It is a sandy beach. The little cove of the beach towards the peninsula is called Cleopatra. A legend says that this cove was visited by the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra and therefore named after her. This cove has very clear water. It is possible to swim towards the Fosforlu Cave and see the fish and other beauties of underneath water with goggles. The entry of the beach is free.

Konyaalti Beach
Beachpark is created for the ones who’d like to spend time in the city center alone or with the family offering hundreds of alternatives to have fun.

You may enjoy swimming in the blue flagged sea or have fun with the water sport activities in Konyaalti. It is possible to have paintball battles, play golf or ride a horse in the beachpark.

Beachpark has attractions for the kids as well. There are various restaurants, pubs, cafes, an aqualand with many water slides and a dolphinland with dolphins and white whales. It is open during the day and night with concerts, live music bars, street shows and animations.

Lara Beach
Lara Beach is one of the biggest investments of Antalya with its 450 acres of land. The beach has 11 beach clubs, 4 restaurants, 4 cafes, 1 night club, 2 football fields, 1 amusement park, open exhibition areas, recreation areas for kids, bars, beach volley lands, beach soccer, water sports, skating, jogging and cycling areas.

Patara Beach
Patara Beach with its 18km length it is the longest beach of Turkey. Patara Beach is located in Kas. It was selected as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world by Sunday Times.

This beach is protected by WWF due to the caretta caretta turtles which are under threat of die out.

It is also the birth place of Santa Nicholas who is know as Father Christmas.

Because the beach is the reproduction area of the caretta caretta turtles, some parts of the beach are forbidden for visitors and it is prohibited to visit at nights.
