Selge is located on the slopes of the valley formed by the Koprucayi in the middle of the Toros Mountains, which surround Antalya region along the three edges, 92km from Antalya and it is inside the National Park of Koprulu Canyon.
Selge is at an altitude of 1000m. from the sea level. It can be great idea living or staying around and in Antalya to enjoy a daily trip to the couple of Selge and Koprulu Canyon national park, which are located very close to one another.
If someone like to visit Selge as a first should advance through Serik town in Antalya-Alanya direction, pass by the road turning towards Aspendos and then turn at the first junction towards the north, in the direction of the small town Beskonak, continue for 17km. more after Beskonak Town and reach Selge. There is also bridge of the Roman period on the way which is so strong that it easily endures the crossing of even today’s vehicles with heavy tonnage.

Places to visit in Selge:

The information relation to the city and the monuments it hosts are limited, since the systematic excavations for studying the ancient city of Selge have not yet been conducted.

- City walls, towers and the gate:
The city is surrounded with rampart wall with the length of around 3,5 km. The section on the south west of the city is the part of this wall which has survived through the present day with the least damages. Towers placed at intervals of around 100m. supperted this defense-aimed wall.

- Theatre:
Selge Theatre is situated very close to the village. The upper half of the cavea ( the section for spectators ) was constructed and the lower part of it was carved into the hill against which the theater leans.
Selge Theater capacity is 10000 persons, and Cavea has the shape of a horseshoe, which is wider than a semi circle, as in the ancient Hellen style. There are 30 seating rows in the lower section and 15 in the upper section and total it has 45 seating rows.
There are four arched gates which provide entry to the section for the spectators. The stage building has Roman style and it is adjacent to the section for the spectators.
From the stage building to the stage there are 5 gates which lead.
All these things show that the building was constructed before the Roman period but changes were made during the Roman period.

- Stadium:
Stadium is situated to the south west of the theatre and one of the longer sides of it leans against the same hill and the other longer side leans against an arched gallery.
Stadium has a capacity of 5000 persons and has the dimensions of about 180x28m.
The unearthed inscriptions show that the traditional contests were held one in every four years and that the statues of the winners were erected.

- Zeus and Artemis Temples:
Zeus and Artemis Temples are located on the hill to the west of the city and both are in a ruined state.

- Cistern:
It is located on the same hill with Zeus and Artemis Temples to the west of the city. Its dept is 7,5m. and its diameter is 21m.
It was built for the purpose of collecting and distributing water to the city. Cistern was collecting and distributing the rain water and the water conveyed by a canal coming from the north.
On the hills to the north there are also the ruins of an aqueduct.

- Agora:
Agora was situated on the southern hill with a 45x45m sized courtyard, which is one of the three hills where the city is located.
Three edges except from the southern edge of this courtyard are surrounded by stoas and shops.

- Stoa and the columned road:
The Stoa is located on the plain with between the hill to the west and agora hill.
On the southern end of stoa there are two inscriptions. Stoa has a length of 110 m.

- Graves:
On the eastern foot of the Agora hill a group of graves were found. All foundations are sarcophagus style tombs.

- Church:
Church is located slightly to the north of agora on the same hill as agora. Selge’s sanitary was after Side and before Aspendos and also Selge was a bishop’s center.
