Turkish coffee has an important role in Turkish lifestyle and culture since Ottoman Empire.
It is a tradition to serve Turkish coffee for guests in Turkey. It is made by pulverizing freshly medium roasted in a mortar and pestle or gridding them very fine in a cylindrical brass coffee mill. It is cooked in a special cupric pot called “cezve” with a low fire and served into the cups which look like espresso cups.
To understand whether it is good coffee or not, it should have much spume on it. Also after finishing the coffee the cup is turned upside down on the saucer and let to be cool.
It is for telling fortunes and very common between Turkish women.
